Inspiration: Bismarck (FFXIV), Philippine Folklore (Kulam). Setting: A recently acquired flying island. Goal: Defend the island from a monster rumored to swallow entire landmasses.

🌪️ Environmental Mechanics
The Tilting Island
The monster doesn't just bite; it rams.
* Ramming Check: Results based on the chosen stability tactic (e.g. Konstitution, Widerstehen, Fußarbeit or Agilität, Wissen(Gebirge), Akrobatik).
* 14+: Unaffected.
* 8-13: Slide towards the edge.
* 5-7: Slide towards the edge twice.
* 1-4: Slide towards the edge twice and be stunned.
* The Edge: Every player is 5 slides from going overboard.
* Recovery:
- Undoing one slide requires 2 turns of movement while doing other stuff (0.5 restore per turn).
- One turn spent exclusively on getting back to safety: Result 8+ restores 1; Result 5-7 restores 0.5.

🔮 The Kulam Support Group
Five Kulam have been sent to support the party. While they are masters of sympathetic magic, they are visibly out of their depth against a beast that acknowledges no human laws or contracts. They focus on binding the monster physically and spiritually.
Name
Specialty
Personality
Dayang Hiraya (f)
Blood-Sympathetik
Used to getting what she wants, boisterous but unable to deal with rebuke
Datu Magat (m)
Fesseln / Tesselation
Friendly/Professional, learning what he can while keeping his opinions to himself
Baylan Tala (f)
Anito-Medium
Distant, negotiates with the island's spirits.
Hara Urduja (f)
Land-Connection / Anatomie
Selfassured, under explains
Panglima Mayari (m)
Reflexion
meditative, scrying, turning forces back
Specialty Explanations:
* Blood-Sympathetik: Establishes magical links using harvested blood to ensure the monster is "anchored" to the island's presence.
* Fesseln / Tesselation: Uses spiritual architecture to manifest chains and inescapable bonds.
* Anito-Medium: Acts as the diplomat between the party and the Anito (spirits) of the wind and rain.
* Land-Connection / Anatomie: Deep understanding of the island's "body" and how to stitch its spiritual wounds.
* Reflexion: Focuses on turning the kinetic force of the monster's ramming back upon its own hide.
Kulam Rites (Support Actions)
Spectral Tethers: Datu Magat and Dayang Hiraya use the monster's blood to manifest chains to immobilize the beast/pull it close.
Heart of the Island: Hara Urduja uses the island's soil and a drop of her own blood to create a sympathetic link between the players and the bedrock. This anchors the players, granting a Bonus Die to stability checks for a duration.
Anito-Call: Baylan Tala summons ancestral spirits (Anito) to clear a weather effect for 2 rounds.

🗺️ The Battle Zones (4 Locations)
The Granite Spire: The highest peak.
Effect: Best for Ranged/Scrying. Includes "The Slippery Steps" (a mossy area leading to the edge where the monster "docks").
The Rainbow Lagoon: A large rainwater basin.
Effect: Players can wash off "Leech Bile" or "Barnacle Slime" here to remove debuffs instantly. Safe from "Hurricane Vortex" suction.
The Hanging Mangroves: Dense trees overhanging the void (includes Cloud-Oaks).
Effect: Grant a Bonus Die to stability checks (easy to grab roots). Barnacles are dense here.
The Sunken Sky-Cave: A hollow beneath the spire.
Effect: Safe from Weather (Fog/Wind/Downpour).
Risk: Attractive to enemies; Sky-Leeches and Mites swarm here to avoid the wind.

⚔️ The Encounter Phases
Phase 1: The Blood Harvest (1-2 Hours)
Objective: Obtain the monster's blood so the Kulam can "Lock On" and immobilize it to stop the ramming.
The Pacing: The monster rams the island every few "beats" (approx. 20 mins).
The Harvest: Ragin must use Schattenschritt to reach the monster during a close pass.
Phase 2: The Binding & Protection (1 Hour)
Objective: Protect the Kulam while they channel the immobilization ritual.
The Tension: The monster tries to "tug" the island away. The island tilts permanently (1-2 slides toward the edge for everyone).
Phase 3: The Maw (Final Minutes)
The DPS Check: The tethers snap. The monster tries to swallow the island whole.
The Finisher: Players must strike the uvula. Kobalt's lightning or Cybi's illusions provide the opening.

🦠 Parasites & Strategy
Cloud-Barnacles:
Behavior: They fly in and thud onto the island. After 1 round, they "harden" into the stone.
Strategy: While "soft," they can be pried off easily (Praxis/Kraft). Once hardened, they require heat or heavy impact. They spit "Slick Bile" that causes immediate slide checks.
Sky-Leeches (Eels):
Behavior: They pounce from the clouds. They latch onto limbs to weight players down (-1 to Agi-checks) or drain mana.
Strategy: They hate the Lagoon water. Pushing them toward the center or using salt-based attacks works best.
Spore-Mites:
Behavior: They cluster in chains.
Strategy: Killing one triggers a chain explosion. Players can use "Wind" or "Push" to maneuver the chain toward the monster's mouth before detonating the lead mite.
Vile Mistletoe:
Behavior: Lands in the Mangroves and grows rapidly.
Strategy: If not weeded out (Suchen/Naturkunde), it releases spores that increase the Storm track every 3 rounds.

📦 Possible Loot
Storm-Pebble: A vibrating stone for powering flying artifacts.
Whalebone Shards: Can be crafted into ultra-light armor (Agi bonus).
Cloud-Silk Glands: For weaving unbreakable ropes or nets.
Indigestible Essence: A crystalline residue used for high-level magic crafting.
